Several members of our lab went to Philidelphia, PA for Kindey Week, the world’s premier nephrology meeting held by the American Society of Nephrology. Our members got to learn more about nephrology from some of the leading kidney experts in the country!
Dr. Jie Zheng, Dr. Mengxiao Yu, and Dr. Yingyu Huang’s research uncovering a previously unobserved renewal process in the kidney was recently featured in the UTD publication The Mercury.
The broad impact of our research [is that] — because it’s a new phenomenon we discovered — I think in [the] future we will explore how this tubular organelle actuation process changes with the disease progression.
