MELISSA

MELISSA (Measurements of Equatorial and Low-latitude ionospheric Irregularities over Sao Luis, South America) is a 30 MHz coherent backscatter radar interferometer that operated in Sao Luis, Brazil. It was designed, built, and operated as a scientific collaboration between UT Dallas, the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research – INPE and the Jicamarca Radio Observatory.
