The Upper Atmosphere Remote Sensing Lab is part of the William B. Hanson Center for Space Sciences (CSS) of the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas). The laboratory is a research effort led by Dr. Fabiano Rodrigues.
Members of the lab are involved with the design of instruments and experiments as well as processing and interpretation of different types of ground- and space-based observations of the upper atmosphere and space environment near Earth (geospace). Lab members have also been involved in the development and use of numerical models of the geospace. These efforts are targeted at a better understanding of fundamental physical processes driving the variability of the geospace, and a better assessment of the impact of this variability in technological systems (e.g., GPS).
