Prestigious Travel Award goes to Jessica!
Jessica Tierney was selected to receive the Larry Cauller Undergraduate Research Travel Award! She will use this award to attend the 2018 Society for Neuroscience conference in San Diego, California from November 3-7. She will present findings from work on her project titled: “Palmitic Acid induces pain behavior via Toll-like receptor-4 (TLR4) on Sensory Neurons“.

Jessica Tierney was selected to participate in the Undergradate Research Scholar Award (URSA) program for the Spring of 2018. She will continue to work on her project: Diet-induced behavioral hypersensitivity and present her findings in the poster competition in April!
Society for Neuroscience – 2017 Meeting
Dr. Burton was invited to give a talk on the lab’s progress in TLR4-mediated sex differences in Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN) at the Annual Society for Neuroscience Conference in Washington D.C.
