Our goal is to develop a state-the-art research program for in vivo imaging and image-guided therapeutic treatments. Specifically, we are interested in developing clinically viable methods of monitoring tumor perfusion and vascular permeability in vivo for image-guided therapeutic drug delivery to tumor tissue. We are accomplishing this through the development of micro- and nanoscale ultrasound contrast agents (UCA’s), which are designed for in vivo imaging and ultrasound-guided systemic drug delivery.
