Lab Members – Reasoning Lab

We are a cognitive neuroscience lab studying the mental processes involved in reasoning, decision-making, and memory. We study the relationship between brain and behavior in healthy individuals and people who have psychiatric or neurological impairments. We use behavioral measurements, cognitive interventions, and neuroimaging techniques in our research. We are located at the Center for BrainHealth at The University of Texas at Dallas and the Department of Psychiatry at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Alex Nunnery
Pre-Med Post-Baccalaureate Student — UT Dallas

Alex Nunnery is a pre-med post-baccalaureate student. He is an aspiring physician who became enamored with medicine during his post-graduate career. Prior to joining Dr. Krawczyk’s lab, he attended Texas Tech University where he earned a bachelor of arts in public relations and had a successful career in communications. As a non-traditional student, Alex is an avid content creator and undergraduate researcher who loves overcoming challenges and thinking outside of the box. His current research interests include Traumatic Brain Injury, Photobiomodulation for Brain Disorders, Neurologic Emergencies, and Racial Disparities in the ED. His passion is entrepreneurship and serving the underserved through medicine and science.
