Jyothi Kallu
Jyothi completed her B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Osmania University in India in 2008 where she worked for Professor Govindarajan Nagarajan. There her research focused on the the design and synthesis of anthracene derivatives for antimicrobial activity. In 2012, she received her Pharm.D. from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. She then decided to use her background in pharmacy to pursue a research career and in 2015 received her M.S. in Polymer Chemistry from Pittsburg State University. There she worked for Professor Santimukul Santra developing nanotheranostics for lung cancer. In Fall 2016, she started her Ph.D. in Chemistry and joined the Dodani lab. Currently, she is developing molecular tools to track anions in in living systems. Outside of lab, Jyothi enjoys listening to music and gardening.
