Derik Adams

Derik was raised in Sherman, Texas. He has spent the last eleven years working in the health and wellness industry. In 2014 started pursuing an education in science to expand his understanding of health. During the Summer of 2020 he completed his undergraduate at UTD, majoring in biochemistry with a minor in neuroscience.  In the Fall of 2020, he was accepted into the chemistry PhD program at UTD and joined the Dodani lab in Spring of 2021 to build fluorescent biosensors to study chloride in biological systems. Outside of studying chemistry his interests include golf, hiking, dancing, and enjoying music.
