Dr. Zhou received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, his M.S. and B.S. in Physics both from Nanjing University.  He has been working as a Postdoctoral Associate in Mechanics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology for two years.  He was formerly an Assistant Professor at South Dakota State University.  He is an awardee of the 2022 Office of Naval Research (ONR) Young Investigator Award and the 2022 National Science Foundation (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development Program (Career) Award.  His areas of interest include energy storage, energy conversion, advanced manufacturing, and electronic materials and devices.
