The learning modules use Powerpoint 2007 or newer to open — if you don’t have the newer versions, there may be a problem opening it. Luckily, there are multiple solutions for this. Many of the UTD campus and library computers have the newest version installed, so accessing it from the campus is one option. Or, if you prefer to use your own computer, you can download Microsoft’s PowerPoint Viewer for free.
If you are using Internet Explorer
When you click the link, it should ask you if you want to open or save the file. Click “Save.” Look for “Save as type” — it should say “Zip File” next to it, with a little arrow pointing down. Click that arrow to see an “All Files” option. Select that. Name your file — LM01.ppsx
If you are still having trouble, download Mozilla Firefox (the web browser) and use it to open the learning module. It will open properly through that browser.
