Research

Are you currently in a long-term romantic relationship? If so, we invite you and your romantic partner to participate in our study titled “Intimacy Behaviors in Romantic Relationships”. In this study, you will come to our UTD lab to fill out surveys about intimacy behaviors and outcomes in romantic relationships. The survey typically takes less than 1 hour to complete.

We strongly encourage individuals of all sexual orientations to participate, whether you’re in a same-gender or opposite-gender romantic relationship. This will help increase our study’s ability to generalize findings to a diversity of relationships.

Eligibility criteria: You must be at least 18 years old, as well as currently in a long-term (i.e., at least 6 months), sexually active (i.e., engaged in sexual activity at least once in the past six months), and monogamous romantic relationship. Your romantic partner must be willing to participate as well, and both you and your partner must be able to come to the lab at the same time.

Compensation: You and your romantic partner will each be compensated individually. You can each elect to receive either 1 SONA credit (available to UTD students only) or a $10 Amazon gift card (available to UTD students and non-students). Parking is not covered by the study.

If you are interested in participating in this study, please visit UTD’s SONA platform (https://utdallas.sona-systems.com/) and sign up for the study titled “Intimacy Behaviors in Romantic Relationships”. Thank you for your time and your contribution to relationship research!
