IBioCASL lab participated in an interdisciplinary STEM (i-stem) camp for Navy Junior ROTC high-school students as a part of the Office of Naval Research Grant (PI: Kaul, co-PI: Mahbub). In this camp, the students will have had the opportunity to explore state-of-the-art technologies for wireless power transfer and data telemetry systems. Students observed how an experimental mouse cage can be wirelessly powered using resonators to power the LED on a headstage made for freely-moving animals such as mice or rats. The students also had the opportunity to make a dipole antenna and characterize their fabricated antenna’s performance. (11/07/19)
