This augmented reality (AR) exhibition combines undergraduate and graduate students who worked together to develop their artworks in four weeks as part of our Short-term Working Group (SWG) project, led by Dr Zeynep Akçay and Dr. Christine Veras.

This interactive exhibition transformed everyday acts of kindness into animated AR experiences, bringing to life the power of compassion through technology and art.

This immersive experience was exhibited in the AHT Gallery from March 24 to 28, 2025. We invited the public to witness how small gestures of kindness can create ripples of positivity. They brought their phones or tablets, scanned the QR code, and watched kindness unfold in augmented reality! Below, we share some behind-the-scenes images from the show.

See below a few photos of the exhibition:

The exhibition was prepared by a short-term working group. The group met four times, once a week, for two hours. We started from scratch, discussing what kindness means and reflecting on how to represent it visually. We used the EyeJack app, which allows us to have only one QR code to access the entire exhibition.

And here is some of the feedback we received from people sharing their experiences of our exhibition:

Congratulations and thanks to all the participating artists:
