Led by Prof. Stefano Leonardi, the members of the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Laboratory at The University of Texas at Dallas perform numerical simulations in the area of wind energy, gas turbine engines, turbulent flows over rough surfaces, geophysical flows and super-hydrophobic surfaces. An in-house cluster with 800 cores, 250Tb of storage and 5 Phi 7000 accelerators are used to perform the numerical simulations.
