We in the Slinker Group are involved in a number of teaching and outreach opportunities.

The Society of Physics Students at UT Dallas

Professor Slinker is the faculty mentor for the UTD Chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS). Since 2011, this group has received 10 consecutive years of national chapter distinctions and 22 total awards and distinctions from SPS National. Our local chapter hosts guest lectures on physics careers, organizes social events, participates in outreach, and connects students with research projects.

Regents Outstanding Teaching Award, University of Texas system

Professor Slinker is the recipient of a Regents Oustanding Teaching Award by the University of Texas System for outstanding and innovative teaching.
