Mckibben Project:
The vision for the advanced manufacturing project workshop is to support research on collaboration, maker culture, and advanced manufacturing with sensing and controls.
This is a McKibben muscle project, which was done in collaboration with two UTD research labs: MSHT and HBS.
Here it is in action using compressed air at 10psi:
This is a second version of the McKibben with boiling heat transfer on a microporous coating in the MSHT lab.
The complete report is provided and more work will be done on this development in the future.
