Our mission is to create and share knowledge in the field of meteoritics through:

• Formal and informal education on meteorites and what these reveal about the origin and nature of asteroids, planets, and the Solar System
• Curation and lending of our meteorites for students to study
• Research about meteorites, planets, and the Solar System

Want to visit?

For the fall, we will meet weekly at room ROC 1.201 (Tuesdays from 1 PM to 2 PM). Directions can be found on our contact page. If you would like us to evaluate a rock sample that you suspect is a meteorite, you will need to register an appointment to visit us; please see our Found a Meteorite? page for details. If you would like to visit for other reasons (such as seeing our meteorite collection), you will need to make an appointment here: General Visit.
