Prof. Jeong Bong (JB) Lee received the B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1986, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 1993 and 1997, respectively. He joined The University of Texas at Dallas in May 2001, after two and a half years at the Louisiana State University as an assistant professor. His current research interests include MEMS, sensors, biomedical devices, and liquid metal. Dr Lee was a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2001.He serves as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) Co-Chair for the IEEE Sensors 2022 Conference, will serve TPC Co-Chair for the IEEE Sensors 2023 Conference and as the General Chair of the ISOEN (International Symposium on Olfaction and Electronic Nose) 2024. He also serves as an associate editor for the IEEE Sensors Journal. He has served as an Editorial Board Member for several other journals, an Executive TPC member for Transducers, and a Track Co-Chair for the IEEE Sensors Conferences along with other services.
Ph.D. Candidate
Mohammad Salman Parvez received his Bachelors (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2017. Later he received Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) from Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2020 there he worked on MEMS devices specially on Microfluidic devices and AC electrokinetics. Currently he is pursuing his PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas under the supervision of Dr. Jeong-Bong Lee.
Research Interests: Microfluidic Device, Surface Acoustic Wave, Liquid Metal.
Ph.D. Candidate
Jinwon Jeong received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Myongji University in 2018 and Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Myongji University in 2020 there he worked on target drug delivery using electromagnetically-actuated microrobot and switching application using magnetic manipulation of gallium-based liquid metal alloys. Currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) under the supervision of Dr. Jeong-Bong Lee. .
Research Interests: Microrobot, gallium-based liquid metal alloys and its applications .
Ph.D. Candidate
Muhammad Luqman Haider received his BS degree in telecommunication engineering and MS degree in electronic engineering from Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) in 2014 and 2017 respectively. From 2017 to 2019 he was a Laboratory Engineer at the department of telecommunication engineering. He is associated with BUITESM as Lecturer in the department of telecommunication since 2019. He has also served as Manager Technical/HR in the capacity building project of BUITEMS titled “Connecting the Unconnected” from 2019 to 2021. He is currently enrolled in Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas under the supervision of Prof. Jeong-Bong Lee
Research Interests: MEMS, NEMS, and Electrochemical Sensors.
Ph.D. Candidate
Tanzila Noushin has completed her Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Bangladesh in 2016 and later she completed Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) in 2022. During her MS, her research was focused on biosensors, electrochemical sensors where she fabricated wound sensor, kirigami-designed strain sensor, sweat sensor integrated with microfluidic channel, tattoo sensor, inflammatory biomarkers and ion detection sensor, drug delivery system, strain-insensitive pH and temperature sensor, plant sensor, and wearable devices for healthcare and agricultural applications. Currently she is doing Ph.D. in the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) under the supervision of Dr. Jeong-Bong Lee (Dr. JB Lee).
