I am an undergraduate student pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Dallas. I am currently a research assistant in Dr. Caroline Jones’s laboratory, where I work under the mentorship of Adam Shebindu.  My research focuses on investigating the neuroimmune crosstalk between astrocytes and microglia to advance the understanding of pain in sepsis. In my free time, I enjoy watching anime and playing Sudoku.

As a senior studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas, I am passionate about advancing the field through innovative research and community engagement. Currently, I am a research assistant in the Jones Lab, collaborating with Adam Shebindu on developing a portable controller for a pneumatically actuated microfluidics platform to study neuroimmune interaction. This project allows me to explore the intersections of engineering and immunology, driving forward our understanding of complex biological systems.

Beyond my research endeavors, I am dedicated to promoting STEM education in underrepresented communities. Teaching and inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers is a cause close to my heart. Additionally, I enjoy expressing my creativity through writing and filmmaking, using these mediums to share stories and ideas that resonate with a broad audience.
