Who We Are

Because each team member is trained in multiple disciplines, our meetings are always crowded. Working together we are un-disciplined. Understandings are negotiated, not settled by disciplinary conventions.

Dr. Anne Balsamo

Research Director; Experience Designer; Executive Producer of Art and Technology events

Principal Investigator, IQ Design. Prominent scholar, educator, entrepreneur, and designer whose work explores the entanglements among technology and culture. Her book, Designing Culture: The Technological Imagination at Work (2011) is a manifesto for thinking differently about the importance of culture in the process of technological innovation.

Murilo Paiva Homsi

Co-Director

Dynamic professional blending art, technology, and media with expertise in project management, research, and teaching. Skilled in creative project management, interactive installations, and collaborative design, fostering creativity and technological innovation.

Lee Yueh-Jung

Design Researcher, Content Strategist, Multimedia Design

Posthuman-thinking design researcher specializing in human-computer relationships, context analysis, and speculative design. Expertise in exploring emerging technologies and their social, cultural, and political implications. Skilled in UX, multimedia design, and project management.

Creative strategy, Information architecture, Design & web dev

Designer & artist driven by curiosity, collaboration & craft. Fields of research include experimental media archaeology, narrative systems, interactive media & infovis. Primary research methods focus on connecting historical study with contemporary media and technology.
