Dr. Diluni Hetti
Diluni is a past student at Global Magmatic and Tectonic Laboratory. Diluni is focusing on systematics of submarine vents in intra-oceanic arcs. In contrast to the well-studied mid-ocean ridge hydrothermal vents, we have only recently begun to find and study submarine vents associated with convergent plate margins. These are associated with intra-oceanic arcs, which are built on oceanic crust and thus mostly lie below sea level. Currently she is working on the diverse vents in the Mariana forearc-arc-backarc convergent margin. She also interested in painting, reading books in her leisure time.
