This summer, we had an amazing experience with our high school student team—Justin Chen, Kevin Cui, Brice Jiang, Arohi Joshi-Gadre, and Jacob Liu—working on the “design and application of a piston-type wavemaker” project as part of the
CAST STEM Bridge Summer Camp at the University of Texas at Dallas. The primary goal of the STEM Bridge Program is to create synergies in STEM education by providing high school students with hands-on university-level experience with current professors at local universities for a consecutive 6-7 weeks of STEM-related research and study program.
A special thanks to Ali Bizhan Pour for mentoring this group of talented students and for the time and effort he dedicated to this program. We are excited to host more students next summer. Stay tuned for more details!
