Patrick Glanton Wins 2025 URSA

It is exciting to share that Patrick Glanton, one of our undergraduate researchers in the FDT Laboratory, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious 2025 Undergraduate Research Scholar Award (URSA) for his project on CFD simulations of wind-generated surface waves. Patrick’s work has stood out from a highly competitive pool of projects. As part of the URSA, Patrick will receive $500 in project funding to further his research and showcase his work at the URSA poster contest in April 2025. This achievement highlights Patrick’s innovative research being conducted in the FDT Laboratory. Congratulations, Patrick—we are incredibly proud of your accomplishments!

About The Program: The Undergraduate Research Scholar Awards are a one-time, competitive award made by the Office of Undergraduate Education, designed to reward the contributions and facilitate the professional development of undergraduate researchers at UT Dallas. Students selected to receive an URSA receive $500. Students whose research, posters and presentations are deemed to be exceptional will move on to the poster finals competition. Judges from the external research community will appraise the top presentations; the top three winners will receive additional award money.
