Neural networks and communication with human brain concept

Our lab focuses on examining how drugs, like cocaine, alter the cellular neurophysiology and molecular neurobiology of neurocircuits that underlie motivated and addictive behavior. We use neuroimaging, neuromanipulation, molecular assays, animal models, and in vitro electrophysiology to examine how memory brain regions, such as the entorhinal cortex and hippocampus, mediate motivated behavior; and how this can become disrupted in addiction and depression.
