Meghana was born and raised in India. She received her B.S degree in Biotechnology from Indore University, Indore and her M. S. in Microbiology from VIT University, Vellore. During her graduate studies, she completed her research at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur where she worked on development of microbial consortia for the removal of ammoniacal and sulfide odors with Dr. Vinod Tare. Currently, she is a graduate student in the Molecular and Cell Biology program and joined the Dodani lab in Fall 2017 where she is working on the evolution of protein-based tools to probe anions in biological systems. During her free time, Meghana likes to read and to go on long walks with her dog Arielle.
