Brain, Behavior, Emotion, Cognition, and Computation

Welcome to the Computational Neuropsychology and Affective Neuroscience Lab! We take an interdisciplinary approach to understanding how (mal)adaptive behavior emerges from complex dynamic, biopsychosocial cultural systems, and pathways to developing psychopathology. Our work focuses on identifying transdiagnostic processes for distinguishing specific features of anxiety and mood symptoms, their developmental trajectories, the behaviors they generate, and their impact on treatment response. Using neuroimaging, neuropsychological and experimental testing, symptom measures, and clinical interviews, our goal is to develop a taxonomy of meaningful cognitive and affective processes to improve clinical care through precision medicine.
