Xian Wu

Assistant Professor

Dr. Xian Wu is an assistant professor and climate scientist in the Department of Sustainable Earth Systems Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research focuses on ocean-atmosphere interactions, climate variability and change, and climate prediction.  Dr. Wu received her Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and her B.S. degree in Atmospheric Sciences from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. Before joining UT Dallas, she was an ASP Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and later a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University and NOAA’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL).
