Welcome to our research lab website! Our lab studies the dynamics, prediction, and changes of the ocean-atmosphere coupled processes. The primary research areas include:

1) Understanding ocean-atmosphere interactions, including variability, changes, predictability, and impacts.

2) Developing and analyzing seamless Earth system predictions on seasonal to decadal timescales.

3) Improving climate models using hierarchical modeling tools, in-situ observations, and paleoclimate data.

Based in UT Dallas’s Sustainable Earth Systems Sciences (SESS) Department, we assess the impacts of the physical climate system on the Earth system and human activities.
