Eye Tracking and EEG Manual

In 2009 Dr. Maguire received a grant from the National Institutes of Health to integrate eye tracking and EEG to collect developmental EEG data in real time and with stimulus presentation that was contingent on participant eye gaze. This feature is especially necessary for studying visual processing in young children, though currently not a feature of any EEG system.

The project was successful and various studies are underway using the linked technologies. As part of the grant, Dr. Maguire was asked to make a manual, detailing the software and hardware changes necessary for this system. Below is a link to the manual created primarily by her lab coordinator, Grant Magnon, and graduate student, Anna Fitzhugh. Their hard work will hopefully be very helpful to future researchers with the same goal.
