Dr. Zejiang Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas and leads the Applied Research for Mobility Systems Lab. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, MS degrees from ENSTA Institut Polytechnique de Paris and Paris-Saclay University. Prior to joining UTD, he was an R&D staff at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), where he led and contributed to multiple projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. He received additional industrial training from Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, French Institute of Petroleum, and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). His research focuses on intelligent vehicle and transportation systems. Dr. Wang was the recipient of the Best Dissertation Award from the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society, the Supplementary Performance Award from ORNL, the Cyber-Physical Systems Rising Stars Award from the University of Virginia, the George J. Heuer, Jr. Ph.D. Endowed Graduate Fellowship from UT-Austin, and three best paper awards from IEEE and ASME
