Abstract human brain. Artificial intelligence technology. Science background

The Developmental Affective, Motor, Memory, & Imaging (DAMMI) lab leverages neurodevelopment to identify emerging psychopathology and promote healthy development. We take an interdisciplinary approach to examine this problem through a variety of lens and utilize a variety of techniques that include clinical interviews, physiological measures, behavioral paradigms, cognitive testing, and neuroimaging (MRI).

We are currently focused on understanding:

  • How early life stress alters neurodevelopment related to psychopathology
  • How hormonal, brain, and behavioral development during adolescence may predict or change risk for psychopathology
  • How do low risk interventions (e.g., exercise, sleep) promote healthy development in adolescence
